Thursday 20th of November

Well hello everybody, here we are in Madrid, at last. Not a great deal to report as yet as we have only been here a couple of days. So far we have managed to explore the city a bit, see a few museums and also visit Madrid Zoo. The Zoo was ace, not so much for the animals but more as we hired a little golf buggy and drove around the Zoo. To be honest I dont remember much about the animals as I was to busy zig zagging in and out of things. We did stop and see the Dolphin show which was very good but it did seem a bit cruel also.

Apart from that we have just really been relaxing and settling into the holiday mode. It has not been to much of a culture shock yet as to be honest Madrid is very similar to London. There are a few major difference´s though, like I am still wondering who thought adding Apricot Jam to a cheese and ham sandwich was a good idea? Although Lou seemed to like it, so much so that she ordered the same thing again for breakfast today! It takes all sorts I suppose.

Anyway better go now as we have nothing to do! ha ha ha.

Saturday 22nd of November

Hello
Its our last day in Madrid and we are just killing time as our flight to Rio is at 1.45 tonight. Apparently it is muy muy scotchio there so looking forward to sunning myself. Ruairi on the other hand is looking forward to the turbulance on the plane (strange boy). I have just had enough of the jamon y quesa rolls so am glad we are moving on. Please do write a message on the guest book if you have not already done so.It is right at the bottom of the main page on the web.
Adois Lou x

The turbulence makes for a more enjoyble flight, It is exciting! Who am I trying to kid, Lou´s right am I just strange.

Well it is bye bye Madrid and hello Rio. When we checked the weather for Rio Yesterday it was 35 degrees. I think I am going to be Red in both name and colour by the end of the week. I am looking forward to getting to Rio now as quite frankly I am bored of Madrid. Don´t get me wrong it is a lovely City, it is just quite small and in the evenings all there is to do is either eat or drink. Wait a second, what am I talking about! I love Madrid I´m not leaving. I am staying here eating and drinking until my money runs out!
